EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP

The Oscar-nominated feature length documentary film, Exit Through the Gift Shop is a glimpse inside the world of street art and a brutal and revealing account of what happens when fame, money and vandalism collide. Exit Through the Gift Shop follows Mr. Brainwash, an eccentric shop-keeper turned amateur film-maker, as he attempts to capture many of the world's most infamous vandals on camera, only to have British stencil artist Banksy turn the camcorder back on him with wildly unexpected results. Released in 2010, the film is a fascinating study of low-level criminality, comradeship and incompetence.  Roger Gastman is Consulting Producer, which involved interviewing people and sourcing exclusive footage, and he helped produce Life is Beautiful, the notorious art show by Mr. Brainwash featured in the film.

Yes, it is a true story.
